SIXELAR NEWLY BORN

Sixelar is a high-end clothing brand newly born in Los Angeles. Its intention is to deliver an edgy look for menswear that doesn’t fit in any common genre on the market today. The brand’s Creative Director, Alexis R. Rosario, has drawn inspiration from diverse sources for this first collection, aptly named, “Blank Canvas”. Punk rock and the new wave era of the eighties have been described as his main sources of inspiration, with the music of the cult band Depeche Mode helping to shape the concept throughout the design process. This first collection for Sixelar brings glimpses of that era, with a modern twist, that will outlast trends. Alexis describes how fashion, like any other form of creative expression has a “soundtrack” that marks its birth from concept to physical collection. Every piece is constructed from luxury woven fabrics, with intricate but bold elements, using over-sized metal hardware, patent leather appliques and adjustable Velcro details on pants and jackets. The brand emphasizes messages of self-confidence, self-expression, and embracing freedom. As a new brand to come out of Los Angeles, Sixelar has a voice of its own, which is daring, brave and unique.
